Fountains at Friendswood Zone Change Request

Some of our homeowners have received notification from the City of Friendswood regarding a zone change application for the Fountains of Friendswood.  The location is currently zoned at Community Shopping Center and the request is to change it to Community Shopping Center with a Specific Use Permit, i.e. nursing care, assisted living facilities to mention a few. The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 5, 2018 at 7:00pm at City Hall.  Legal Notice below.

HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Friendswood City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Joint Docketed Public Hearing at Friendswood City Hall, 910 South Friendswood Drive, on the following date and time:

MONDAY, MARCH 05, 2018 – 7:00 PM

to consider the following:

Zone classification change request for 3.306 acres, Fountains at Friendswood Subdivision, Reserve F (1.428 acres) and Reserve G (1.878 acres) located at 2245 and 2275 Thomas Trace, Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, to change from Community Shopping Center (CSC) to Community Shopping Center with a Specific Use Permit (CSC/SUP) for NAICS Use #6231 Nursing Care Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, NAICS Use #623311 Continuing Care Retirement Communities (with on-site nursing) and NAICS Use #623312, Assisted Living Facilities for the Elderly, without on-site nursing (assisted living and memory care).

At said hearing, all interested persons have the right and opportunity to appear and be heard on the subject both oral and written. Documentation is available for review at the City Secretary’s Office, 910 South Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas.
